Throughout the film, a recurring gag is that Griffin mentions that he has an invisible girlfriend, even though he is just pretending that he has one, much to his friends disbelief.

However, towards the end of the film Griffin eventually bumps into The Invisible Woman and they fall in love upon seeing each other.
