Premise[]

This original action-comedy set in an all-animal world follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that “smalls can ball!”

Rick Mischel and Fonda Snyder also serve as executive producers, with David Schulenburg co-producing.[15]

Release[]

GOAT is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on February 13, 2026, coinciding with the NBA All-Star Game, which will take place that weekend.

Trivia[]

  • This will be the second Sony Pictures Animation to be released in February, after Peter Rabbit (2018).
  • Like many modern Sony Pictures Animation productions, the film features a stylized animation style, in this case, a somewhat painterly style with stop motion-like frame movement that emphasizes the animals' physical features.
  • This will be the third Sony Pictures Animation film to not feature humans, since The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019).
