Quote

LYrate Lifeform Approximation is one of the minor characters in Sony Pictures Animation's 2018 animated feature film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Background[]

Personality[]

Although LYLA is commonly characterized as fun and playful, she can be quite bothersome to Miguel and is willing to use any method at her disposal to provoke him.

Physical appearance[]

She is Miguel O'Hara's A.I. assistant with short brown hair, pink heart glasses, and white jacket with trees in it.

Appearances[]

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse[]

In Earth-928, Lyla monitored the super-collider's activation and meeting of the Spider-Gang alongside Miguel and anticipated that a multiverse collapse can potentially happen b/c of the events that unfolded. After Miguel left for two hours, resulting in him missing the conclusion of the incident, Lyla chastised him for being late and later updated him about the multiverse still being intact.

While Miguel left, Lyla began working on the prototype of the Multiversal Gizmo and later finished it at some point before or when Miguel arrived. Miguel then decided to test the gizmo out by jumping to Earth-67 immediately but before he can do so, Lyla reminded him that with the "goober", he could either be the first or last person to make an autonomous multiverse jump.
